So, here we are all settled (well, as much as we ever are) in our new home in Dade City. It's really a beautiful place and we're proud to be here and proud to be neighbors in this charming little town. We're at the far reaches of the Tampa Bay area but really not that far from our old home on First Avenue N in St. Petersburg. It's a quick drive up I-75 (or U.S. 301, if you'd prefer.)
If you're never ventured up here from the busy streets of St. Petersburg or Tampa, we really recommend that you do so, not just to see us (though that would be wonderful, of course) but also to visit the antiques shops and the delightful restaurants in town. Make it an outing!
Of course, we know you'll have plenty of fun browsing our shelves in our new place and discovering treasures you'll just want to take home with you. And you can do it all in, as Heminway put it, a clean, well lighted place. (Of course, he was talking about a cafe and we're not a cafe but we'd venture to say you can find some bibliophilic morsels on our shelfs, though we frown on eating the books.)
We just wanted you to know that we'd love for you to come visit and we know you'll be glad you did.

For all those who have cherished quiet moments of book browsing at the old St. Petersburg location of Lighthouse Books, by all means take the ride to their new Dade City home on the corner of Fifth St. and Church Ave. There are wide aisles, comfy chairs, and friendly help from owner Mike Slicker and his daughter Sarah, the manager of the new store. Bring along an old book or two for Mike to appraise--and maybe buy. The experience doesn't get any better for book lovers.
